Visions for the development and conservation of the historic center of Crevalcore (BO), 2013.

An earthquake struck the town on May 2012 creating a series of urban voids, difficult to recover through architecture. The next step after the traumatic event is not the reconstruction or replacement of buildings, but rather the design of a process of decay of architecture itself. What has survived is enclosed by reticular structures that allow vegetation to grow on and around damaged buildings. New realities take shape: urban parks, agricultural and biological laboratories, tangible green libraries. A new ecosystem, an open-air laboratory that allows researchers, onlookers and gardeners from all over the world to study and investigate the species that live on the ruins. The project consists in reactivating the economy of Crevalcore through a new strategic program.
